The Hitachi Gunnedah Car Park Shade project involved the design, engineering and install of a Single Bay TensoCar carpark shade structure in HDPE shade mesh. MakMax also installed a PVC modular shade structure to create a shady staff recreation area as part the project.
The Brief
The scope of works required by the MakMax, as part of a larger redevelopment by RICE GROUP Constructions, was the Design & Construction of the Single Bay shade structures to cover 16 spaces as highlighted in the SITE PLAN, and the Staff Rec Area weatherproof canopy.

The Materials
The TensoCar Single Bay Carpark Shade is clad in White HDPE shade mesh. Not all shade cloth is manufactured to the high standards required by our shade structures, and we choose to use Gale Pacific Commercial Heavy 430 which has been specifically engineered to withstand extreme weather conditions on commercial-grade tension structures.
Made from 100% round monofilament and designed using a patent pending intertwining knit patter, Gale Pacific Commercial Heavy 430 offers up 90.3% UV protection under the white colour.
The custom Hypar Modular Shade Structure install for the Staff Rec Area is covered in Mehler Valmex FR700N PVC.
