An example of the flexible nature of MakMax’s Pavilion Modular Shade Structure, our WA agents and shade partners, Shade Engineering, used the adaptable modular range to create the Lakelands Primary School Pavilions. These stylish shade structures create sun-safe recreation areas for the students at the new school.
The Brief
Lakelands Primary School, opened in 2014 is an Independent Public School located in the rapidly growing suburb of Lakelands, north of Mandurah. Catering for students in Kindergarten through to Year Six, the new school was developed as a series of classrooms surrounding green courtyard play spaces.
The school chose to install to shade structures in different green spaces. A PH120 (Hexagonal Pavilion) with extra-high columns provides shade to a playgound, while a large sand-pit exploration area has been covered by customised PS110. The ‘squares’ pavilion measures 10m x 11m, showing off the true adaptability of the design to fit into the required space and maximise the shade covered area.
The MakMax Pavilion Shade Structure is a popular option for parks and playgrounds.
