The Riverside Quay Umbrellas project features the installation of 15 MakMax Centra Architectural Umbrellas, enhancing outdoor dining at various venues around the 2 Riverside Quay building in Melbourne’s Southbank entertainment district.
In November 2016, the nine MakMax Centra CS32 umbrellas were installed, featuring vibrant Serge Ferrari 502 PVC in Buttercup—a striking bright yellow—and stylish black powder-coated steel frames. To further elevate the Riverside Quay Umbrellas project, an additional six CS40 Centra Architectural umbrellas were ordered the following year.
These umbrellas include various customisations, with some equipped with linking panels for seamless weather protection between umbrellas. The Riverside Quay Umbrellas was a project for Celmec International, an official MakMax Australia distributor, who also provided integrated under-canopy heating and lighting for all of the 15 Riverside Quay Umbrellas. With the technical expertise of Celmec International and the innovative design of MakMax Architectural Umbrellas, the restaurants featuring the Riverside Quay Umbrellas are able to offer an inviting alfresco dining experience in any weather.
