The Yarra Botanica Rooftop Umbrellas were installed in August 2022 at the popular floating bar and eatery on Melbourne’s Southbank promenade. This installation includes four MakMax Centra Architectural Umbrellas, featuring three CR53 models—a custom design exclusive to Celmec International—and one large CS54 Centra umbrella.
These Yarra Botanica Rooftop Umbrellas are customised with a linear edge to support roll-down blinds, along with linking panels with aluminum guttering that provide continuous weather protection between the umbrellas. The project also integrates Celmec’s advanced lighting and heating systems, ensuring year-round comfort for outdoor dining.
The umbrella skins were fabricated using Serge Ferrari 502 PVC in two colours – Moss Green and Sandy Beige (two umbrellas in each colour), to match the Yarra Botanica branding and design aesthetic.
Installed by Celmec International, an official MakMax Australia distributor, the Yarra Botanica Rooftop Umbrellas project showcases the successful blend of Celmec International’s Heatray lighting and heating expertise with MakMax’s innovative Architectural Umbrellas, creating an ideal all-weather outdoor dining environment.
